President Mahama Emphasises Need For Ghanaians To Have Confidence In EC To Deal With Voters Register Issues

President John Mahama has indicated that he does not intend to interfere with the voters’ register issues raging in the country.

According to him, the Electoral Commission is a constitutionally mandated independent entity therefore it does not lie in his purview to interfere with its processes.

Interacting with students of the Bordeaux University in France, President Mahama noted that any party that has a problem with the said bloated register must follow due process to channel their grievances, saying the EC makes decisions based on consultations with all stakeholders.

President Mahama commented on the recent expose on judicial corruption.

He said there are indications that there are still good people in leadership who must be encouraged to stand tall at all times.

He asked all to join in the fight against corruption.
