Veep Reiterates Government Commitment To Spending Within Budget

Vice President Kwesi Amissah- Arthur has reiterated governments determination to eliminate illegal payments to what he calls ghost workers and also unaffordable subsidies. He said the government is committed to spending within its budget.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur was speaking at this year’s Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International Convention in Accra. He said the government plans to stabilize the country’s macro-economic conditions and provide effective solutions to the energy crisis in order to realize the positive medium term prospects.

Members of the fellowship from neighbouring West African countries are attending the three-day convention.

Vice President Amissah Arthur said the challenges confronting the nation are for a constructive purpose, designed to encourage the country to prevail and be a lesson to others.

He charged members of the fellowship to mentor the youth and instill in them the spirit of self-discipline, which has made them successful businessmen and women.

The national President of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International, Dr. George Prah, reiterated the need for discipleship as a critical value for leadership.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur was made a dues-paying member of the fellowship. The Chief Justice, Mrs. Georgina Wood and the wife of the Vice President, Matilda Amissah-Arthur attended the opening of the convention.
