The MP for Tamale Central Constituency cum legal practitioner, Hon. Inussah Fuseini has declared that corruption in Ghana can only be dealt with drastically if Ghanaians come together to fight it.
In an exclusive interview on Green FM’s Anopa Bosuo Show, the MP, Tamale Central revealed that the canker can bar the nation’s development should people in Ghana tolerate ethnocentrism and tribalism in the country.
Furthermore, the voice of the people is needed to minimize or immediately get rid of the malodorous act by standing against it as civilians.
He explains that it is expedient that any form of opportunity or anything that could sprout up corruption should be put to a halt and this, will definitely be possible to get offenders penalized accordingly.
He cited again that, when the country come together as one people to fight corruption, the cases of ethnic group mobilization by miscreants will be eliminated.
‘…Corruption will require us all as a country. Everyone, it doesn’t matter that you are an Ashanti, Dagomba, Ewe, Fante, Ga, and Gonja, whatever. It doesn’t matter! Corruption must first of all define us as Ghanaians and unite us with one words to fight it. So that it can’t create a situation whereby somebody can engage in corruption by mobilizing his ethnic group or tribe such that they think that Ghanaians hate him or her …’ The MP for Tamale Central said.
‘…….it will require that you don’t give opportunity to hide behind political parties and engage in corruption then we need one voice to do that. We need the people of Ghana standing as Ghanaians to say NO to corruption…We will fail through that along the piles of under-development….’ Hon. Inussah Fuseini stated
Hon. Inussah Fuseini then advised that Ghanaians see the canker as evil and quite politicking along the line to be able to fight corruption.
